We toast to another successful year and a recap on the most memorable LEGO sets in 2018. There are many more outstanding sets, but here’s our take on the TOP 10!

10. LEGO Friends 41346 Friendship box

2018 brings a wide variety of Friends sets from race kart to Heartland City Resort. What really stood out is this Friendship box that is truly an Out-of-the-box set with buildable live sized robot, trophy and camera unlikely any of its siblings.

9. LEGO Inside Tour 2018 4000025 Ferguson Tractor Set

Just how many lucky ones managed to score one ticket to LEGO Inside Tour this year will be able to pick one home as a memory of a lifetime.

8. LEGO IDEAS 21311 Voltron

The LEGO IDEAS Voltron set came in at the 8th spot as possibly the tallest (also the largest till date) IDEAS set for a long time.

7. LEGO BrickHeadz 41597 Go Brick Me

How often do you create a Mini-You replica of yourself? Now you can with this awesome set to match with your favourite tops and hairdo. If only LEGO release a similar edition for Minifigures?

6. LEGO Harry Potter 71043 Hogwarts Castle

Fans of Harry Potter theme might just vote 2018 as the best of LEGO history with this impressive set (coincidentally the 2nd Largest LEGO set ever release) coming in at 6020pcs. It might set a new trend of a castle set every 1-2 years (following Disney Castle’s lead).

5. LEGO 40290 60 Years of LEGO Brick

The 60 Years of LEGO Brick is a Gift-with-purchase set to commemorate 6 decades of building fun with 4 micro versions of the most iconic LEGO builds of the past 60 years, comprising the awesome Airport Shuttle, famous Yellow Castle, Black Seas Barracuda and the Galaxy Explorer.

4. LEGO 71021 Minifigures Series 18

There’s no better way to celebrate 40th Year of Minifigures with the LEGO Minifigures Series 18 set.

3. LEGO System 4000028 Classic House

As part of the 3 Wal-mart exclusive sets to celebrate 60 years of LEGO brick, the classic house will definitely bring back fond memories of the childhood for AFOLs.

2. LEGO Technic 42083 Bugatti Chiron

Our heart lies with the drivable 1:1 LEGO Bugatti Chiron seen in 2018 Paris Motor show but alas it’s not an actual retail set. Thus we settled for the next best thing in this 42083 Technic set.

1. LEGO Creator Expert 10261 Roller Coaster

And finally. We have the set of the Year award given to the largest LEGO Roller Coaster set ever released (as part of the Fairground sub-theme). This is never a complete set without the add-on LEGO Power Functions motor and battery accessories.

In the deep corner of our heart, there’s always a place for the 2018 Modular building set as LEGO celebrate the 11th year of this AFOL favourite sub-theme.

We would like to see it develop into a full theme in the years to come as LEGO need to think more out of the box to provide AFOLs with sub-themes of modular buildings that drawn inspiration from the major continents (Asia, Africa, Oceanic theme buildings).
