Singapore, 2 March 2020:  Furthering their legacy of fun and creativity, LEGO® today announced the launch of their newest line of products in Singapore, LEGO® DOTS. Tapping into the wide world of arts and crafts, LEGO® DOTS is a 2D tile-based play concept that offers young girls aged from 6 years+ a chance to self-express and create through their new #DotYourWorld Campaign. Going beyond play, LEGO® sees their new range as a fundamental enabler to empowering young girls to take charge of their own self-expression and identity through dotting their world however they see fit.

DOT Your World: About the Collection

The exciting multi-shape and colourful tiles come in various forms, ranging from wearables to room décor, all changeable to express self-identity, fashion and creativity. 

The affordable new collection features 5 bracelets; the Rainbow Bracelet (41900), Funky Animals Bracelet (41901), Sparkly Unicorn Bracelet (41902), Cosmic Wonder Bracelet (41903) and the Love Birds Bracelet (41912). The lively bracelets come with adjustable bands to fit the wrist and 32 colourful tiles to encourage girls to design their bracelet to suit their mood and style at that time. The versatility of the bracelets allows girls to find fun and unique ways to express their personalities and use their imagination to show their creativity.

Girls will love the Rainbow Jewellery Stand (41905), not only because they can display their jewellery and wearables on it, but they can customise their stand to make it uniquely theirs with the colourful tiles. The stand comes with a tray to keep other accessories in, allowing girls to be imaginative both with decorating the stand, and how they choose to display their jewellery.

The kit also includes the Animal Picture Holder (41904), which is perfect for fans of arts and crafts. The Animal Picture Holders are easy to assemble and customise with colourful tiles that can be used to design a variety of adorable animal faces (from cats and dogs, to lamas!). Kids can use the picture holders to display their different designs and photos, as well as keeping little treasures safe in the box.

The Pineapple Pencil Holder (41906) is a DIY set of boxes that offers kids the chance to create their own customisable pencil holder and watermelon wedge stationary box. The dynamic boxes encourage kids to use their imagination and creativity to personalise the boxes with the colourful tiles and make designs to reflect their individual style, mood and room. Stationary has never looked so good in with these functional designs!

The entire LEGO® DOTS Line is compatible with the Extra DOTS Series 1 – Refill Tiles Pack (41908). This refill pack encourages kids to personalise their designs further with 10 colourful tiles including 20 translucent blue glitter tiles and 10 special printed tiles. This additional pack provides the opportunity for kids to stretch their imagination, enhance their designs and come up with unique ways to show their self-expression.

When creating LEGO® DOTS, LEGO® designers were inspired by internal research showing that children are now increasingly looking to shape their creative confidence through more personalised forms of play where they can explore freely and express themselves through their own designs. This particular insight draws on a quantitative study conducted with 10,800 parents and 7,200 children across the US, China and Germany, and among the participants a total of 21,600 play observations were mapped out and used to identify the relevance and concept direction of DOTS.

Young girls in particular, have had limited options available on the market to build their own worlds through traditional construction toys and showcase their love of all things fashion, creativity, fun and play. The new range allows them to imagine their own world and dot it, limitless and instruction-free to see their visions come to life.

DOTS will be available from March 1, at LEGO® participating outlets in Singapore with prices starting from just $6.50 for the refill pack and $9.90 for each bracelet.
